Visiting Turkey – One of the world's most important textile markets

Hakan Ökmen and Erik Bolmgren from ReSpin visiting Turkish textile factories

During a week of meetings across the Turkish textile industry, ReSpin's CFO Erik Bolmgren and Business Developer Hakan Ökmen met with leading manufacturers, recyclers, yarn producers and innovators to discuss the future of circular textiles.

What stood out was the strong and highly practical interest in industrial textile-to-textile recycling. The conversations focused on real production challenges: material flows, fibre quality, spinning performance, production waste and how circular solutions can be implemented at scale.

For ReSpin, the visit reinforced that our mechanical recycling technology addresses a real and growing market need. By producing high-quality recycled fibres from textile waste, without water or chemicals and while preserving fibre quality, we enable the next step towards truly circular textile production.

A big thank you to everyone who welcomed us and shared their knowledge. We return inspired, with valuable new insights and exciting collaborations to continue.

Turkey will play an important role in the transition towards a circular textile industry, and ReSpin is proud to be part of that journey.
