ReSpin selected for CEMATEX Start-Up Grant at ITMA 2027

ITMA, world´s leading exhibition for textile, will take place in Hannover, Germany 16-22 September 2027.

ReSpin has been selected as one of 20 start-ups from nine countries to receive the CEMATEX Start-Up Grant and showcase its technology at Start-Up Valley during ITMA 2027 in Hanover.

ITMA is the world’s leading textile and garment technology exhibition, bringing together manufacturers, innovators, brands, investors and research organisations from across the global textile value chain. The CEMATEX Start-Up Grant fully funds ReSpin’s participation, including an exhibition stand and supporting services.

For ReSpin, the selection is an important opportunity to introduce its patented mechanical textile recycling technology to the international textile industry and build new relationships as the company moves towards industrial scale.

“Being selected for ITMA is a big milestone for us. Much of today’s innovation is driven by chemistry, digitalisation and AI. We bring another approach: a smart mechanical solution to a complex challenge, turning textile waste into high-quality fibres that can be spun again,” says Åsa Strandberg, CEO of ReSpin.

The 20 selected start-ups represent innovations across six areas of textile and garment manufacturing and share a strong focus on sustainability and circularity.

ITMA 2027 will take place in Hanover, Germany, 16–22 September 2027.
