Breakthrough in Mechanical Recycling
Through its patented technology, ReSpin produces fibers of significantly higher quality than conventional mechanical recycling methods, offering greater value than competing solutions. Additionally, our process has only a fraction of the environmental impact of large-scale chemical fiber recycling.
Mechanical recycling has existed for a long time, but traditional methods result in very short fibers, requiring 50–80% virgin materials to spin new yarns. These yarns are typically limited to Open-End spinning, which produces bulkier, coarser fabrics.
The alternative, chemical recycling, has gained traction with many national and international initiatives. However, ReSpin’s approach offers a scalable, cost-effective, and sustainable solution that redefines mechanical textile recycling.
