ReSpin granted funding from Vinnova

ReSpin has been granted support from Vinnova through the Innovative Startups 2025 programme for the project
“From Waste to Resource – Textile Dual Use for Climate Impact and Preparedness.”

The call attracted 1,037 applications, of which 103 projects were awarded funding, following evaluation by independent experts appointed by Vinnova. ReSpin’s application was assessed as meeting the programme’s criteria to a high degree, based on its strong potential, capable team and credible execution plan.

The project focuses on transforming textile post consumer waste into high-quality recycled fibres, enabling both climate benefits and increased resilience through local, circular material flows.

“This support enables us to continue developing solutions that make local textile recycling possible, without water and chemicals,” says Åsa Strandberg, CEO of ReSpin.

The funding strengthens ReSpin’s mission to scale mechanical textile recycling and accelerate the transition toward a more circular and resource-efficient textile industry.

We extend our warm thanks to Vinnova for their trust and support.
